Sr Commodity Analyst - Packaging
**Job Description:** **Academic requirements:** BachelorĀ“s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Business or related technical field. **Qualifications & Knowledge:** **-** 3 - 5 years of experience in similar role. - Advanced English - Quality norms and standards. - Knowledge of international trade. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes. - Knowledge of financial evaluation. - New Product Development. - Elaboration of project feasibility. - Knowledge of project management, control and evaluation. - Negotiation with suppliers and internal customers. - Elaboration and analysis of RFQs and evaluation of supplier proposals. - With specialization in finance or administration, and project management. **Abilities & Preferred Skills:** - Analytical. - Proactive. - Initiative. - Leadership. - Time management skills. - Self-motivated, self-direction. - Problem solving. - Emotional Intelligence. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams. - Investment project management. - Effective communication skill. - Excellent organization and planning skills. **General Objective** Support sourcing of components, assemblies, and tooling as directed in support of New Product Development/Cost Reduction/Supply Improvement projects. Need to balance the required quality, cost, lead time, and term requirements while successfully delivering to project requirements. **Duties & Responsibilities** + Manage purchasing activities involved with initial phases of new product qualification and introduction. + Function as Project Manager for purchasing and supplier related activities for North America Milwaukee Tool facilities. + Prepare and execute RFP/RFQ's and analyze quotations. + Communicate opportunities identified with suppliers for alternate manufacturing processes, designs, and materials to reduce cost with cross-functional teams. + Support the development, review and approval of supplier selection criteria using the standardized process/tools for New Product Development projects. + Provide ongoing vendor management support in the form of Forecasts, purchase orders, invoice and quality problem resolution, and related issues. + Analyze and monitor supplier capacity, global/regional demand and vendor quality an initial production start-up. + Continuous improvement, Process Development/Creation to support New Product Development Purchasing (Power Tools) functional area. + Act as the voice of the supplier during early NPD development. + Work with various TTI global facilities-USA, China, Europe, and Mexico. + Provide support in general activities required by the department.
