Sr Commodity Specialist - MRO
**EchoStar** has an exciting opportunity within our **Hughes Network Systems** division for a **Senior Commodity Specialist - MRO** to support In-Direct Procurement Operations for the company. **Responsibilities:** + Process requisition and purchase order in timely manner. + Coordinate purchasing activities with managers and requesting departments to insure quality inventory and schedule goals are met. + Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to achieve lowest cost of ownership, quality, and service meet schedule requirements. + Ensure that new Purchase Orders placed in accordance with pre-negotiated contracts are properly documented and referenced to the original contract terms. + Evaluate supplier performance to ensure contractual commitments are met. + Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and on-site visits as appropriate. + Negotiate contacts for material and equipment purchases in a cost-effective and timely manner. + Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with internal and external customers. + Provide interactive link between corporate logistics, procurement, internal, external customers and suppliers. **Basic Requirements:** + Bachelor's Degree in a procurement, logistics or related field. + 4+ years of experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong PC skills. + Experience with SAP is preferred. + Good communication skills, both verbal and written is a must. + Previous procurement experience, preferably in a direct materials manufacturing environment. + Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance. The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies.
