Job Description

The Senior Configuration Analyst analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.  Coordinates modification records for management control.  Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractors.  Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing, program management, procurement and product support.  Ensures that requirements are implemented and in compliance with configuration management (CM) policies and Best Practices.  Oversees and coordinates data management (DM) activities for assigned programs in accordance with customer specific requirements and company procedures.

Responsibilities:

Perform Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities to include capturing minutes and action items, tracking action items to closure, and distributing change notifications to program team members.  Monitor effectiveness and compliance on assigned programs. Conduct training as needed.Interface with supplier CM and DM personnel to analyze and resolve CM and DM related issues.Recommend and support realignment, management and allocation of departmental resources in support of CM and DM tasking assignments.Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. Requires minimal supervision for CM taskingLeads and counsels junior staff and directs routine and non-routine program CM and DM activitiesAnalyzes, develops and implements advanced CM and DM concepts, standards, techniques and solutionsActs on behalf of Configuration Management & Data Services Manager when delegated authority.

QualificationsMaster degree is optionalBachelor's degree is preferredAssociate's degree is preferredHigh School diploma or GED is requiredSpecific Degree Field Required: Business Administration, Engineering Sciences or Liberal ArtsTraining Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):ESDSafety Training, as dictated by Safety Department

 

Requirements:

Must be very detail orientedMust have excellent problem-solving skillsMust be able to follow department Procedures, Work Instructions and Best Practices.Able to work with a sense of urgencyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteThorough understanding of CM and DM disciplines and methodologiesBA or BS from an accredited university (Preferred) or equivalent years of experience in Configuration Management0-5 years relevant experienceAble to read and understand drawings, Technical Procedures and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), able to create Bills of Materials.Able to learn, understand and properly use Engineering terminology.Able to learn and properly use Elbit Systems terminology and acronyms.

Preferred but not Required

Experience using PLM TeamcenterTechnical skillsFamiliarity with MIL-STD-973 and EIA-649 is preferred
