Sr Continuing Education Coordinator - Continuing Professional Education
The mission of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.

The primary purpose of the Sr. Continuing Education Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the project management team within the Continuing Professional Education department. This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation of certified activities and ensuring the smooth execution of programs. The Sr. Continuing Education Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders, including faculty/presenters, participants, and administrative staff, to facilitate the successful delivery of continuing education activities.

Key Functions

1. Administrative Support (50% effort)

· Maintain program documentation, including participant records, evaluations, and feedback.

· Assist in the preparation of program-related materials, such as handouts, presentations, and evaluation forms.

· Coordinate with internal departments, external vendors, and partners to ensure the availability of necessary resources and materials for program delivery.

· Assist in budget monitoring and expense tracking related to program implementation.

2. Program Implementation Support (20% effort)

· Collaborate with the project management team to develop and execute project plans for certified activities.

· Assist in organizing program logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and resource allocation.

· Coordinate with faculty/presenters and subject matter experts to ensure timely delivery of program materials and content.

· Monitor program progress, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to maintain project timelines.

3. Quality Assurance (15% effort)

· Collaborate with the project management team to develop and implement quality assurance processes for program delivery.

· Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements for continuing education programs.

4. Collaboration and Relationship Building (15% effort)

· Foster positive relationships with instructors, participants, and internal stakeholders to enhance program delivery.

· Coordinate with marketing and communication teams to promote programs and attract participants.

· Collaborate with program development team to identify emerging trends and topics for potential new programs.

5. Other duties as assigned.

Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience
Required: Six years of experience at a professional level in project management, conference management, or closely related field, involving planning and organizing resources, marketing, database management, reporting, budget management and financial reconciliation. With preferred degree, two years of experience required.
