The pay range is $87,000.00 - $156,000.00

A role with our Digital Analytics and Insights group means being part of a team that enables data-driven decision-making to enhance business performance in the modern retail landscape. 

As a Sr Data Analyst, you will:

Partner with Category and Marketplace leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and measure performance of strategies implemented

Create self-service reporting using a visualization tool (Domo/Looker/PowerBI) that is actionable and easy for business partners to use

Identify root cause of business performance & communicate findings to leadership

Work cross-functionally across Digital (Marketing, Product, Item, & Site Experience) to drive top-line financial performance

Partner with data engineering team to build new capabilities that will enhance our reporting and business knowledge

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with large datasets, building scalable reports, and simplifying complex data to enable efficient decision-making. About you:  

Four-year degree or equivalent experience

3+ year as a Data Analyst with strong academic performance in a quantitative field; or strong equivalent experience

Experience working in Digital/Clickstream data

Advanced SQL experience writing complex queries

Intermediately accomplished with Python or R

Solid problem solving, analytical skills, data curiosity, data mining, Data creation and consolidation

Support conclusions with a clear, understandable story that leverages descriptive statistics, basic inferential statistics, and data visualizations

Willingness to ask questions about business objectives and the measurement needs for a project workstream, and be able to measure objectives & key results

Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams, and translate ideas between them

Knowledge of AB Testing methods, time series, S&OP planning, Forecasting models  including statistical analysis

Experience in analytics tools such as: SQL, Excel, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python, R, Domo, Adobe Analytics (or Google Analytics) and/or equivalent technologies

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
