Job Description SummaryThe BI & Reporting Data Engineer will play a key role in building the data infrastructure and platform necessary for the BI & Reporting COE. This position focuses on the end-to-end development of data solutions, including data pipeline creation, data transformation, and tool integration, to support business analytics and reporting. The Data Engineer will work with various data sources, such as Aha, Salesforce, ServiceNow, ADO, Marketo, Oracle P6, etc. to establish reliable data connections and streamline the data flow for reporting and analysis.

Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain robust data pipelines, data models, and ETL processes to facilitate data extraction, transformation, and loading.Establish secure and efficient data connections from various tools (Aha, Salesforce, ServiceNow, ADO, Oracle P6) and integrate them into the BI & Reporting platform.Create and schedule data processing jobs to automate data ingestion, transformation, and updates across multiple data sources.Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and optimize the data flow architecture.Design, implement, and optimize the data architecture for large-scale data repositories such as Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.Leverage SQL and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) for data manipulation and optimization.Support the BI team in building data semantic layers and data marts to facilitate report generation and dashboard creation.Design and create visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Tableau and/or Power BI.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in data pipelines and data integration processes.Document data processes, architecture, and best practices for future reference and knowledge sharing.Desired Characteristics & Technical ExpertiseBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5 to 8 years of experience in data engineering, BI development and data integration.Proficiency in designing and developing end-to-end data pipelines, including ETL processes.Hands-on experience with data integration tools and platforms.Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar.Familiarity with enterprise tools like Aha, Salesforce, ServiceNow, ADO, Marketo and Oracle P6 etc. for data extraction and integration.Expertise in setting up data pipelines, scheduling data jobs, and automating data workflows.Experience with data modeling techniques, including OLAP and data marts.Knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices for building scalable data solutions.Develop customized visuals and layouts that prioritize key KPIs, providing clear and concise insights that align with business objectives.Implement UX best practices to improve navigation, data storytelling, and the overall usability of dashboards, ensuring that reports are actionable and user-friendly.Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in data processing.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.Excellent communication skills to convey technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.Self-motivated with a drive to continuously improve data processes and explore new technologies.Business Acumen:Understands the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, brings new ideas to the team.Displays understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer.
