Sr Data Engineer II
What You'll Do We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer III, to join our Private Market Data Engineering Team. In this role, you will provide data engineering and analysis expertise to maximize effectiveness across multiple technologies and services. Drive technical aspects and strategy of data management functions including creating, collecting, loading, transforming, cleansing, processing, storing, analyzing, and visualizing data. Work directly or in support of data science/analytics to design, develop, test and integrate data from various sources into large-scale processing systems and databases to use in providing insights that solve business needs. Develop strategies for data acquisition and influence others within the business area through explanation of policies, patterns and practices. Facilitate strategic discussions and execute tactical plans. Grow the team's ability to own and design all software development layers of a solution.Proactively nurture talent of staff in the area. Make recommendations on future technical trends/directions that encompass multiple systems and teams to meet business strategic initiatives. Multiply the effectiveness of others by facilitating cross-team work. Listen and guide debates to help reach consensus. Clearly communicate and back final decisions. Service as subject matter expert and provide coaching and mentoring to team members. Delegate work to team members. Demonstrate influence across BUs. Seen as an informal leader or may have direct reports. Responsible for staff recruitment, performance assessment, training and career development. Set clear goal expectations for members of a team. Who You Are Bachelor's degree plus 8 - 12 years related work experience or a Master's in related field plus 4 - 10 years related work experience Proven experience as an IT professional Experience with a variety of data modeling techniques and data structures Ability to optimize data for analytics and data science Experience building/operating systems for data extraction, ingestion and processing of large data sets Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools Experience building data products incrementally and integrating and managing datasets from multiple sources Advanced planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required Ability to collaborate with others required Must be able to effectively communicate strategies and designs to all levels of the company Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality Skills That Will Help You Stand Out Solid leadership and presentation skills required Knowledge of financial services products, processes and business unit applications preferred Ability to work directly with data and datastores through programming language such as SQL, Python, AWS and Snowflake, etc preferred Salary Range Information Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $123000 - $167000 / year Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
