Sr Database Developer/Administrator
Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Sr Database Developer/Administrator with GDIT supporting TSA. This position will be responsible for updating and maintain the Threat Image Library (TIL) Database. The TIL contains all training and testing images and data about the images captured at the Threat Mitigation Lab.
How a Sr Database Developer/Administrator will make an impact:
Managing SQL Server databases.
Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes.
Monitoring system's health and performance.
Ensuring high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
Analyzing solving and correcting issues in real-time.
Providing suggestions for solutions.
Refining and automating regular processes, tracking issues, and documenting changes.
Assisting developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
Providing 24x7 support for critical production systems.
Performing scheduled maintenance and supporting release deployment activities after hours.
What you need to succeed:
10+ years of ETL (extract, transform, and load) Design/development experience using Informatica, Abi Initio, MSSIS (Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services), Talent, Pentaho or similar
5+ years of data replication experience using Qlik Replicate, Fivetran, Oracle Golden Gate or similar.
15+ years Strong Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server Database experience
Data migration project experience is a plus. However, this can be waived If resource has 10+ years of ETL experience.
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
Applicants must have a currently active Secret Clearance
