Sr DBA
Job Description A financial services client is looking to grow their team by adding a Sr DBA to their group in Manhattan. This role is responsible for production and development database administration, Change Management and Data Governance for data repositories, platforms, tools and development. In this role you are expected to work closely with the database administration team, the development teams (Systems Mainframe, Systems Development, and Systems Engineering) as well as the Infrastructure team in the design, implementation, transition and maintenance of data solutions and ensuring associated standards and best practices for enterprise data management. This position requires 8+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2017/2019/2022. This position reports to the Vice President of Database Administration. Skills and Requirements 8+ Years of experience with Database Administration for MS-SQL Server  Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems  A deep understanding of technical database and development work, the impact of logical design decisions on the technical database and application infrastructures  Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and third party troubleshooting tools  Experience with SSAS, OLAP cubes, data warehouses, MDX queries  Experience with SSIS packages, ETL implementation and troubleshooting  Experience with SSRS technology, designing reports  Experience with backups, restores and recovery models  Experience with Snapshot & Transactional Replication  Experience in implementing operational automation using PowerShell Scripts  Experience with AWS  Experience with database encryption technology  Experience with SnowFlake  Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics  Strong understanding of database architecture, physical infrastructure and storage systems  Good communication and documentation skills  BS or BA in a business or computer science related field of study  Experience managing and monitoring 24/7 Production database environments null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
