Overview of Job Function
Panzura is looking for a senior DevOps engineer to join our team and help deliver high-quality software solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and infrastructure using various tools and technologies. Collaboration with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure adherence to DevOps best practices and standards is key.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and infrastructure using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, etc. Automate and optimize software development and delivery processes using continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Monitor and troubleshoot performance, availability, and security of software applications and infrastructure using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc. Implement and enforce DevOps best practices and standards, including code quality, code review, testing, and documentation. Mentor and coach junior DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and support. Research and evaluate new tools and technologies to improve DevOps processes and practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, software development, or related roles. Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Go. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible and Terraform. Experience with CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK. Knowledge of DevOps principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Lean). Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
