Job Description

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support mission-critical DoD programs. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure within classified environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with DoD systems, security compliance, and modern DevOps practices.

ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement secure cloud architecture within DoD guidelinesManage Infrastructure as Code deployments in classified environmentsEnsure compliance with DoD security requirements and best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams in defining secure infrastructure requirementsDevelop and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines for classified systemsImplement deployment strategies aligned with DoD security protocolsAutomate build, test, and deployment processesEnsure code security through pipeline integrationImplement and maintain security controls per DoD requirementsConduct security assessments and vulnerability remediationCollaborate with security teams on RMF documentationEnsure continuous compliance with DoD standardsMonitor system performance and security in classified environmentsImplement logging and monitoring solutionsLead incident response and problem resolutionMaintain high availability for mission-critical systemsEssential SkillsStrong experience with DoD security compliance (STIGs, IAVMs, RMF documentation)Proven track record implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in classified environmentsExtensive experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)Advanced Linux system administration (RHEL preferred)Infrastructure as Code expertise (Terraform, Ansible)Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure Government)GitLab administration and pipeline developmentContainer orchestration with OpenShift/KubernetesInfrastructure automation with Terraform and AnsibleAWS services (particularly within GovCloud)Database administration (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)Elasticsearch/OpenSearch implementationVersion control with GitRed Hat Enterprise Linux administrationAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field5+ years of DevOps experience8+ years of relevant DevOps/Cloud engineering experienceWork Environment

This position involves working within a classified environment, adhering to strict security compliance and protocols. The role requires managing cloud platforms and infrastructure using modern DevOps tools and practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient operations. The work environment emphasizes high availability, system reliability, and continuous compliance with DoD standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $200000.00
