The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Sciences, and Recycling. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line where customers put a premium on adaptability, reliability, and ease of use. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for the Chemical Analysis business in Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region and drives the strategic growth agenda. You will drive initiatives to deliver differentiated customer value and enhanced customer happiness with the goal to meet and beat financial commitments for the business and region. You will serve customers across a broad range of categories like Energy & Industrial, Pharma, Environment, Safety & Security & F&B.

What Will you do

Collaborate with country leadership and regional BD teams to develop and implement CAD specific country strategies, including GTM strategies (Indirect channel vs. Direct, NPI deployments and CAD central initiatives).Bring the global CAD strategies to the region and be the voice of the region back into the division. Identify and Evaluate market opportunities for growth, engaging across Business Units to drive business development opportunities for emerging technologies or new market segments.Apply proven commercial leadership skills to lead multi regional, matrixed commercial teams in the field of innovative growth initiatives, share gain strategies, and efficiency techniques.Develop deep understanding of APJ market dynamics, and CAD product value propositions to improve win rate, customer intimacy, and voice of customer feedback to the division.Responsible for communicating APJ commercial voice in monthly/quarterly business reviews, annual operating plans, and long-term planningIn partnership with Sub-regions, own Bookings, Revenue and Opex forecasting and execution to plan.Manage business budgets appropriately including revenue, margin and operating expenditure to deploy resources towards growth initiatives and marketsCollaborate with the global division, region, and countries in APJ to implement global strategy in line with local context and market dynamics, aiming for revenue growth and market share gain.Key account strategy (as applicable) for working with sub regions within APJ to drive incremental growth through value proposition and workflow selling solutionsEstablish meaningful connections with Partners, Key Opinion Leaders (KOL), and essential customers in the region.Explore opportunities for new business, customer experience improvement and large deals through these connections.Monitor market intelligence including competition, macroeconomics and the regulatory environment; Collection of Voice of Customer and Voice of Commercial metrics for decision makingEnable access to technical resourcing, training, education and proficiency development to the region from global teams and technical centers of expertiseSecure support, content and training for NPIsDrive commercial excellence initiatives and adoption of the full customer value propositionAct as a curator and developer of internal and external talent to fuel our STRAP goals for the regionDevelop roadmap of abilities and skills needed for future business growthDevelop pipeline of successors both internal and external for business continuity

How will you get there

Bachelor’s degree in business management, chemistry, engineering, physics, or equivalent. MBA or equivalent experience is preferred.15+ years Sales/Commercial Experience with 7+ years leadership experience from related industries in a MNC environmentExposure to Clean Energy, Mining/Minerals, Industrial sectors is a plusDemonstrated experience working effectively across businesses and regions in a multi divisional matrix organization to achieve commercial objectivesStrong Business interpersonal skillsStrong knowledge of financial and business operations with proven ability to drive margin expansion and operational improvementsAbility to develop creative growth strategies and guide successful executionMeaningful experience in managing business functions with minimum 5 years P&L general management experienceAbility and desire to travel 50-75% of time, primarily within APJ region. Equivalent experience is acceptable.
