Sr Director, Corporate Physical Security

The main purpose of this job is to plan and direct the region security function under the direction of the VP, Corporate Security. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing the strategic and tactical planning for the region. In addition, the Senior Director will be responsible for developing a proactive, predictive risk environment, identifying significant security risks and developing progressive mitigation strategies. Ability to liaison at the most senior levels of federal, state and local law enforcement will be critical in this role.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceResponsible for Charter Communications regional leadership for all physical security operationsDirects planning for security operations and activities throughout the Region, including physical security, incident management, executive protection, threat assessments/mitigation, cybersecurity risk identification/support, and awareness programsDevelops senior strategic relationships and acts as liaison between Charter Communications and law enforcement agencies, emergency management agencies and leadership at Federal, state and local levelsDevelops and implements a proactive, predictive risk strategy combining early identification of significant security risks in the region with a proactive mitigation and ongoing surveillance programActs as a leader in all workplace violence responses, with a specific focus on awareness, education and training for the workforceDirectly accountable for meeting financial and operating objectives of security projects and operations within the RegionCultivates skilled security leaders within the Region by assigning responsibility, managing accountability and providing opportunities for growthPerforms other duties as requested

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

        Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAdvanced effective communication skills and a high level of executive presenceComprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system to include federal, state and local criminal statutes and the candidate must have extensive experience managing complex investigationsComprehensive understanding of incident reporting and case managementExtensive experience with progressive security risk management processes and techniques related to physical security, investigations, threat assessment and mitigationUnderstanding of the complexities of software and networking; how the systems work togetherAbility to effectively manage large complex projectsAbility to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously to completionAbility to read and write in English and use mathematic skills accurately to complete daily paperwork Accuracy and attention to detailKnowledge and experience with evidence handling and case building for prosecutionKnowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applicationsExperience and/or training in interview/interrogation techniques

      Required Education

    Bachelor’s degree in area relevant to the security field

   Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

  Combined experience managing personnel and process in the military, local law enforcement or corporate security environments - 15

Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Knowledge of Federal, state or local regulations relevant to the company and data privacy affecting telecommunication service (i.e., PCI, CPNI, SOX, HIPAA)Knowledge of the Telecommunications industryWorking knowledge of incident management systemWorking knowledge of physical security equipmentWorking knowledge of enterprise security risk managementWorking knowledge of Charter Communication’s access control system and video management systemWorking knowledge of Charter Communication’s incident management systemThreat assessment/management

The base pay for this position generally is between $151,400.00 and $322,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
