Job Title: Sr Director, Customer Strategy – Soup & Broth

General Summary

The  Sr Director, Customer Strategy – Soup & Broth  is a leader on the Soup & Broth Category team, acting as the key liaison between customer sales teams and various internal functions (Brand Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain) as well as delivering key business objectives.

 

Primary Responsibilities

·         Partner with Field Sales, Sales Finance, Shopper Insights, Category Strategy, and Category Management to identify and execute against initiatives to achieve sales objectives

·         Lead development of Customer / Channel specific Gross Sales, Net Sales, and Trade Annual Operating Plan targets

·         Lead Customer Development Managers in developing and optimizing promotional support plans within guardrails and with maximum return on investment

·         Partner with Category Strategy and Brand Marketing to develop optimized channel assortment recommendations

·         Owns communication of customer forecast and business drivers to internal functions related to Demand Planning and ITP

·         Identify risks and opportunities and solutions balancing both customer and business needs

 

Job Complexity

Develop and maintain productive working relationship with Commercial Strategy leadership teammates (Category Strategy, Revenue Growth Management and Sales Planning), other sales functions (Category Management, Sales Finance, Field Sales), and cross-functional (Brand, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.)

 

Minimum Requirements:

·         Bachelor's Degree required

·         MBA preferred

·         Minimum 15+ years CPG sales experience required; previous experience should include some or all the following:

·         Customer Sales / Customer Management

·         Category Management

·         Category Strategy

·         Revenue Management

·         Trade Marketing / Trade & Promotional Planning

·         Sales Finance

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$125,500-$209,300

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
