Sr Director, Marketing Large Law/Law Schools

The Sr. Director, Marketing, is responsible for leading a team of experienced marketers to develop the marketing strategy for the LexisNexis Large Law and Law School businesses. As a member of the leadership team, responsibilities strategic marketing planning and developing and implementing marketing programs that drive positive business outcomes. 

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced results-driven marketer who possesses the confidence and skills lead a team and to collaborate and communicate across functions and levels, delivering the strategies, programs and assets that will most effectively drive new business and customer retention.  The Sr. Director, Marketing will lead a team to develop and test new programs, launch new products and track success. Accountabilities: 

Quickly achieve product expertise and command of customer personas in the large law and law schools' markets. 

Lead development of innovative marketing plans designed to drive strong lead and revenue growth, retention, law school student preference and brand equity 

Collaborate closely with segment peers to ensure business outcome-focused plan development and excellence in execution.  Leverage best practices and assets from global marketing teams and colleagues for the greatest efficiency and unified messaging.   

Craft simplified yet meaningful brand story to define the company’s core messages in the Large Law and Law Schools markets bringing to light competitive differentiators, reflecting Voice of Customer and improving win rates.   

Lead strategic events initiatives, driving sales opportunities and promoting thought leadership, 

Manage marketing team, developing their business and marketing skills and acumen while inspiring strong execution 

Continually improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency, through A/B testing, piloting new programs and technology 

Establish and achieve marketing expense budget goals, ensuring investments are aligned with business goals. 

Provide clear visibility to senior leadership team on key monthly performance metrics and goals 

Qualifications: 

Undergraduate degree in communications/marketing/business. MBA or JD preferred 

10+ years B-to-B marketing experience, preferably with a SaaS or other technology solutions company 

Solid knowledge of LexisNexis systems and services preferred 

Proficiency in leveraging artificial intelligence technologies for marketing initiatives is highly valued. 

Proven ability to design and execute marketing plans in a matrix environment; ability to support multiple client groups and work across the organization 

Knows and applies marketing mix concepts (e.g., brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies, customer segmentation) 

Excellent writing and verbal communications skills with the flexibility to write for different audiences, including law firm leadership, academic and student audiences. 

Excellent project management and presentation skills 

Experience managing large integrated marketing campaigns on time and within budget 

Must be comfortable making data-driven decisions and reporting results.
