This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location.
This position will pay $130,000 - $150,000 with equity which brings to a full pay of $183,000 - $206,000
SUMMARY: The Senior Director, Total Rewards supports and manages the day-to-day execution of CoreCivic's Total Rewards programs. Focuses on the administration and operational management of compensation, retirement programs, relocation/mobility programs and other benefit programs. Works as a key member of a dedicated team of professionals to ensure that programs are delivered effectively, complies with established standards and meets the needs of a diverse workforce. Develops, updates, and enforces policies and procedures for all Total Rewards functions, ensuring clarity, consistency and compliance across the organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The incumbent must be able to perform the following functions at a pace and performance level consistent with job requirements:
Manage a team of professionals responsible for the daily operations of compensation, benefits, retirement, and relocation programs to ensure timely, accurate, compliant, and consistent delivery. Oversee the daily operations of base salary and incentive compensation programs, ensuring accurate implementation and timely adjustments in line with company policies. Support the design, administration, and periodic review of short-term incentive plans to drive performance and align with organizational goals. Assist with projects related to various benefits programs (e.g., health, dental, vision, wellness, earned wage access), ensuring competitive offerings and regulatory compliance. Contribute to the annual benefits renewal process, including vendor negotiations, plan evaluations, and employee communications. Oversee the management of retirement plans, including 401(k) and non-qualified plans. Ensure effective administration, plan design modifications, annual audits, and compliance with applicable laws and fiduciary responsibilities. Serve as a member of the retirement steering committee. Oversee the management of employee relocation programs, ensuring adherence to internal policies, cost-effectiveness, and smooth employee transitions. Administer leave management programs, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with federal, state, and local policies, including FMLA and other statutory regulations. Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with the Service Contract Act (SCA) and related regulations, maintaining proper documentation and audit trails. Lead the execution and analysis of market surveys and benchmarking studies to validate salary ranges, bonus structures, and incentive programs against industry standards. Collaborate with external vendors and survey providers to ensure competitive and cost-effective reward programs. Manage job analysis initiatives to evaluate, classify, and update position roles. Ensure alignment between job responsibilities, required skills, and compensation structures. Collaborate with HR, finance, and legal teams to integrate Total Rewards strategies with talent management initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance. Work with finance teams to monitor and analyze compensation and benefits budgets. Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making. Develop and execute communication plans to articulate compensation and benefits initiatives clearly, ensuring employees understand program details and value. Conduct regular audits and reviews of compensation and benefits processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies. Utilize advanced Excel skills and HR analytics to monitor program performance, track key metrics, and prepare detailed reports. Provide data-driven insights to refine and improve Total Rewards administration. Stay current on trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in compensation and benefits. Proactively adjust programs to maintain compliance and competitiveness. Domestic U.S. travel is required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or a related field is required. Seven years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, Finance, or HR related functions in a complex organization is required. Additional work experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Proven staff management experience required, with experience managing external service providers highly desired. Must demonstrate exceptional Excel skills and proficiency with HR metrics. Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams, high attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities at once. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications is required.
