Sr Director - Digital Commercial Solutions

What you will do:

 

The successful candidate for this role is a product thought leader who understands that product management is the key to aligning technology, customer needs and business outcomes; that the right technology decisions are those that serve the customer and the business. This newly created role in the Digital & IT organization will be responsible for creating and guiding the digital product portfolio that is oriented towards commercial solutions and digital offerings.

 

Own the commercial solutions business space for digital and technology scope working closely with business leaders and customers to ensure alignment of business needs with digital strategy, roadmap and priority Conceptualize and implement a product centric framework to drive prioritization of key digital capabilities for solutions lifecycle Identify and evaluate new digital product opportunities leading to increased competitiveness and revenues, while improving overall productivity of sales and marketing organization Manage industry research on market and growth opportunities in close cooperation with product experts, marketing, sales, and R&D Plan and support new product introductions including requirement definition, feature prioritization, implementation signoffs, field readiness, product documentation, and market launch in coordination with Marketing, Technical Support, Operations, Customer Support, and Sales Cultivate and grow relationships with external and internal customers to deliver innovative and quality driven products in a timely and effective manner leading to external customer satisfaction, and business growth Modernize, evolve and productize existing technologies Differentiate the business by driving and delivering a digitally powered suite of services and solutions Develop and execute a comprehensive solutions transformation strategy aligned with organizational objectives and market trends Lead cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement innovative customer solutions Oversee the full solutions lifecycle, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market demands, and business growth Cultivate partnerships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams, to drive collaboration and product excellence Leverage data-driven insights to inform decisions on market positioning, competitive intelligence, and roadmap development

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or degree with product management certifications and training (Pragmatic Marketing Certified, AIPMM, Product Management University) 15 years product management experience in B2B products, including demonstrated experience in product & portfolio management, product transformations, NPI, roadmaps, market-fit, and competitive research 10 years management experience, developing, mentoring, and growing high-performing teams Knowledge of product management applied in the combination of hardware, software, and services Experience growing from project-based activities to products, transforming Familiar with industrial manufacturing operations and processes Knowledge of IT processes and operations, including agile development Understanding of smart buildings, components, sensors and monitoring Superior communication skills, both written and verbal Executive presence, industry thought leader Financial acumen with associated business case and metrics 25% travel required

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

MBA highly desired Experience in the HVAC industry Digital Transformation and/or productizing digital services

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $225,000 - $250,000 (+ bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
