Sr Director FP&A - Aerospace

Develop and implement financial planning and analysis processes to support the division's strategic objectives

Prepare the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long range plans

Report out the monthly financial results, including variance analysis and recommendations for improvement

Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Provide financial guidance and analysis to the VP of Finance and other senior leaders within the division

Manage a team of financial managers and analysts and ensure they are meeting performance expectations

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the division and across the company

Tracks actual business results to analyze, interpret, and communicate financial variances to group leadership and provide actionable recommendations for improved financial performance.

Assists VP of Finance in setting group finance strategy, direction and prioritization.

Participates and represents finance function on miscellaneous projects as requested.

Responsible for development and career planning of a global team.

Actively pursues continuous improvement opportunities.

In VP Finance's absence, may temporarily assume VP's duties.

Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and various financial analysis tools, such as discounted cash flows, activity-based management, and variance analysis.

Solid knowledge of SOX and GAAP accounting. May require an in-depth understanding of both US and international accounting principles.

Solid knowledge of local statutory requirements, tax laws and treasury requirements of the local jurisdiction of responsible countries.

Strong interpersonal skills, and written/oral communication skills.

Ability to analyze complex information and present findings in a simple manner.

Ability to design, analyze and improve planning process.

Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of: building effective teams; appropriately developing direct reports, self, and others; dealing with ambiguity; interpersonal and political savvy; and polished written and verbal communication skills.

Strong skills with Microsoft products (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Strong skills utilizing a large integrated ERP/MRP computer system (e.g. SAP, JD Edwards).

Excellent analytical skills.

Exhibits a service oriented mentality.

Solid Project Management experience with experience leading simple to complex financial projects.

Demonstrates sound and logical thought processes when making decisions and giving direction.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.

Basic understanding of company's operations and products.
