Position Summary:
This position efficiently and effectively manages all day-to-day operations of medical imaging ventures for CRH in order to facilitate effective use of resources in an environment that is cost effective and value driven. The Senior Director is responsible for leadership and direction in accordance with the values and clinical initiatives of the organization. The Senior Director works independently and collaboratively with CRH and other parties to maintain the highest degree of clinical/operational performance and customer satisfaction. The Senior Director demonstrates a commitment of quality service to those we serve.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations
Manages all day-to-day operations to ensure the efficient and effective performance of medical imaging and related services.
Demonstrates a high degree of knowledge and understanding of Imaging Services and activities, organizational management, and technological performance.
Supports the development and implementation of strategic planning goals and objectives for Imaging Services that facilitates ongoing operations while integrating professional, clinical, and technical changes.
Responsible for the implementation of new programs, services, and equipment.
Oversees all customer service initiatives.
Creates an environment that promotes excellence in clinical practice and exceptional customer satisfaction. Fosters and promotes professionalism, positive interactive behavior, team building and open and frequent communications with all customers.
Collaborates with other departments and customers to solve problems, coordinate activities, and facilitate organizational change.
Monitors, evaluates, and resolves quality or operational performance issues.
Collaborates with the Leadership Team, and Facility Directors to develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficient and effective operations, integration with other departments and services, and compliance with all organizational, professional, and regulatory requirements.
Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of safety and infection control plans, radiation safety programs and ongoing performance improvement activities.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agencies for the Facility including, ACR, CLIA, OSHA, Virginia Department of Health, and others when appropriate.
Ensures that all communication technologies are used in accordance with HIPAA standards.
Oversees staff education regarding the facilities Corporate Compliance Program and serves as a resource to its importance.
Maintains positive and effective work relationships and communications.
Collaborates to resolve conflicts promptly and to continuously improve services and increase efficiencies between modalities within the facilities.
Serves as a liaison to staff, administration, radiologists, organization, other health care providers, facilities, consultants, vendors, and customers.
Directs marketing activities for all facilities.
Human Resources
Directs human resource functions for all staff positions. This includes primary responsibilities for selection, retention, orientation, training, competency assessment, performance development and termination of employees as needed.
Serves as a resource to Administration and Physician leaders regarding staffing issues and the scheduling of human and materiel resources. Ensures staff and patient scheduling is adequate to meet the needs of the customers and community.
Develops and empowers staff to the benefit of the individual and the corporation. Encourages and provides for ongoing educational activities, in-services, and other opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
Conducts performance evaluations for all facility directors.
Finance/Budget/Reporting
Directs and manages accounts receivables, including collaboration with our billing agent, assuring achievement of cash forecasting, including front desk collections, timely billing processes, and denial management.
Monitors statement of income and cash balance to ensure adherence to the budget.
Supports the billing activities of all facilities, ensuring that all information is supplied accurately, completely and in compliance with all federal, state, and locally mandated policies.
Reviews and monitors cash receipts daily.
Leads the development, implementation, and management of annual operating and capital budgets for all facilities.
Monitors operating statistics on an ongoing basis to ensure adherence to the budget while optimizing gross margins and providing quality diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Ensures development of statistical reports showing historical and projected operating trends.
Prepares and presents clinical and administrative reports to accurately reflect facility operations and processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred. Master Degree achievement required within first 3 years of employment.
Requires experience or registry in Radiologic Technology by the ARRT or an appropriate credentialing agency such as the RDMS (Ultrasound) or CNMT (Nuclear Medicine).
Four years relevant supervisory or leadership experience required.
Ability to work with physicians and staff in a confidential and efficient manner.
Proficiency in MS Office – Word and Excel
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Proven ability to work independently in a professional manner.
Sound decision making skills and time management skills required.
Ability to manage varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) Preferred.
Driver’s License.
