Sr Director of Software Engineering - Hyderabad

As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Data & Analytics Services function, you will be leading our India-based team. Your role will involve collaborating with product, and both global and local technology teams to deliver well-engineered solutions to complex business problems. You will be tasked with designing and building software to cater to the needs of Global Instrument Master platform.

Job responsibilities: 

Provide leadership and management of the team providing guidance on best practice and architecture for Global Instrument Master's Architecture, Development and SRE teams.Partner with the global leads for the areas to ensure a consistent approach to backlog management and agile processCollaborate with stakeholders to design engineering solutions to complex business problems including collaboration with Ops team to identify opportunitiesParticipate as part of global Global Instrument Master's Architecture leadership teams help shape the vision for these platforms and help drive this vision with the India based engineering teamsExecutes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsGather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsApply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies, to diverse and complex projects of moderate to large scopeProvide input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for immediate and broader teamManage multiple stakeholders, complex projects, and large cross-product collaborationsInfluences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Formal training or certification in computer science/engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams of technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertiseProficient in coding in Java, Spring Boot and Python and AWS, REACT, Angular.Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExpert in Agility practices, SDLC processes, CICD, application resiliency and securityExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with prior experience of influencing across matrixed, complex organizations and delivering valueExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesStrong analytical, logical and problem solving skills to provide solution to complex business problems
