We are looking for a Sr Electrical Gear Commodity Manager to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the Senior Director, Materials Operations and will be based in San Jose, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Additional Note: Strategic sourcing plays a critical role in ensuring operational success for the Procurement organization. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of electrical gear commodity sourcing. This is a strategic supply chain role, interacting with our supply partners and internal core teams, encompassing supplier relationship management, risk mitigation, contract management, critical component planning, allocation direction, supply flexibility modeling, pricing and materials liability management.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Develop commodity strategies to align with Bloom Energy’s growth roadmap.
• Own sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management function in the areas of electrical equipment and switchgear
• Perform market analysis and forecast industry trends in the area of electrical switchgear and other mechanical components.
• Define cost structures and develop should cost models.
• Work with engineering and development teams to define and optimize cost, performance and commercial targets for electrical switchgear and other components necessary for the installation of the Bloom Energy Server.
• Support product development roadmap incorporating design change and implementation to current and future product lines.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Legal stakeholders to assess, understand, and prioritize business needs.


Skills and Experience:
• 10 + years experience, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Technical background with knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to problem-solve and influence others through relationships and data.
• Confident in working in a high-pace dynamic environment, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure task completion and deadlines are met.
• Ability to multitask and effectively communicate progress and risks.
• A quick learner and team player, exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Salary Ranges:$151,700.00 - $218,300.00
