Location: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to the Grand Rapids Service Center located in Grand Rapids, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).
General Summary of Job Responsibilities The Sr. Energy Solutions Sales Consultant (ESS) will be assigned to customers within an industry segment and are responsible to develop greater segment intelligence, industry trends, and customer insight. The incumbent is responsible as the customer's key contact to steward any service concerns or issues and uncover opportunity to deliver individualized solutions through consultation and solutions based sales. Deliver value for customers, enable long-term relationships, and achieve corporate goals tied to our Integrated Resource Plan (Demand Response, energy waste reduction, load growth/retention, sustainability, etc.).Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work with internal teams to build holistic solutions to present one brand to clients. Ensure proper record keeping through the tracking and reporting of business activity through CRM Reporting Contact for electric and gas customers as it pertains to utility needs, issue resolution and escalation – rates, reliability, service, tariffs, billing, etc. Develop, maintain, and share segment industry knowledge, insight and trends. Communicate segment and customer feedback to inform internal departments and product owners of changing customer needs Engage business customers to deliver value through our portfolio of energy management programs and customized solutions and services. Identify, develop, and complete enrollment Complete administrative requirements to the standard associated with the sales acquisition process along with Customer resolution and defect management issues Other duties as assigned or may be necessary Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to set, pursue, and attain goals Commitment to customer satisfaction Planning & Organizing skills Conceptional Selling - Speaks the language of value, overcomes objections, establishes credibility Ability to clearly and concisely articulate dialogue and inspire through written communication and ability to inspire through clear presentation of information Teamwork ability Ability to understand complex customer needs and/or issues and develop and/or facilitate appropriate and timely solutions Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Communications or related fields with 4 years in Professional selling skills and account management OR Associate's Degree in Business, Engineering, Communications or related fields with 6 years in Professional selling skills and account management OR High School Diploma or GED with 8 years in Professional selling skills and account management.
