Sr Engineer, Manufacturing Test

Job Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer is responsible for development, documentation, deployment, verification/validation, and maintenance of circuit board assembly/instruments and flexible circuit board test equipment. Test equipment may be deployed externally to contract manufacturers, internally to Masimo production facilities, or internally to research and development laboratories.  The Manufacturing Test Engineer is the technical interface to contract manufacturers and Masimo’s circuit board assembly functional test operation.

Duties & Responsibilities

Write manufacturing test specification documents for internal or external test development Maintain and generate company specific hardware, software and configuration files associated with final test programming Write or execute Test Procedures, Test Reports, PFMEAs and Process Validations Manage outside contractors as needed to develop 3rd party test solutions Oversee the deployment of mechanical fixture solutions for electronic test systems Maintain existing test systems Establish Statistical Process Controls for Manufacturing Operations Participate in Hardware Design Reviews as a technical contributor to ensure designs are testable Identify areas of improvement and implement changes to improve test efficiency, yields, traceability, internal procedures, process validations, etc. Design and implement electronic hardware for custom test solutions Performs special projects as requested

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience

BS Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, degree or equivalent Working knowledge of electronic measurement equipment: oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, spectrum analyzers, measurement receivers, and network analyzers Experience in application of statistical process controls in a manufacturing environment Experience in test automation, product verification and validation Experience in electronic hardware design Excellent verbal and written communications and analytical skills appropriate for interaction with team members (Internal and external customers, suppliers, hardware engineers, test staff & management) 

Education

BS Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Engineering Physics degree or equivalent

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000 - $135,000 plus benefits.  Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works inside the Engineering Laboratories.   It requires frequent sitting, standing, walking and lifting of products and test equipment (must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds).  Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required.   Must be able to travel to other test facilities, so the ability to own and operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.  Travel frequency is on an as needed basis and is typically 2 to 3 times per year.
