Sr Engineer- System Software Thermal Engineer

General Summary:

Qualcomm Target Thermal team works on achieving industry leading Thermal/Limit SW management solution on Qualcomm Mobile, IoT, and AR/VR targets. In this position, the candidate will be working with cross-functional teams to analyze and identify thermal challenges, Limits management, Battery current limits, peak current risks and provide SW solution to mitigate thermal issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 1+ year of work or academic experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans and/or tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools).

Skills/experience:

Embedded systems background with a good understanding of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks (CPU, Modem, RF, PA, PMIC, Interconnects, Display, Graphics, Camera, etc.),  operating systems concepts, Hands on experience in debug tools like JTAG debugger, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, understanding of power/thermal framework, multimedia framework, wireless and mobile communication. Also a basic understanding of any programming language is added advantage.

Education Requirements:

M.Tech/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electorinics&Communication, or related field. With 2+ year of relevant work experience
