Sr Engineering Electronics Technician

As a Senior Engineering Electronics Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of electronic systems and equipment. You will be responsible for Building out prototypes from clean sheet designs, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing electronic components of existing prototypes. You will be building complex electronic controls and power system as well as providing technical support to the engineering team as needed. You must have experience building from scratch, including mounting boards, power supplies etc. and wiring all components. Your expertise in electronic systems will contribute to the success of our projects and ensure the reliability and functionality of our products.

You will report directly to our Engineering Supervisor, and you’ll work out of our Huntsville, AL location with overtime as needed to support our contracts.

In this role, you will impact the development and improvement of electronic systems, ensuring their performance and functionality meet the highest standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\nBuild clean sheet designs, Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems and equipment\nRead schematics and execute wiring\nTest electronic components\nPerform basic mechanical assembly\nProvide technical support to the engineering team\nCollaborate to identify and resolve technical issues\nContribute to the continuous improvement of electronic systems and products.\n\n

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in wiring complex electrical systems and reading wiring diagrams, including building, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic systems and equipment\nHands on experience soldering board level components and wires\nExperience creating cables using military and molex connectors\nStrong knowledge of electronic components and systems\nWillingness to travel up to 10% of the time.\n\n

\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nAssociate degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering or a related field\nExperience in testing and calibrating electronic components\nIPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 standards knowledge and execution\nExperience using SAP\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\n\n
