Sr Engineering Manager, Data Field

We’re looking for an engineering manager to lead teams that drive critical data platform initiatives, including modernizing our ETL infrastructure and building scalable solutions for data integration. You’ll oversee projects that support high-availability tools bridging Canvas and third-party systems, as well as our transition to Snowflake for data architecture modernization.
What You’ll Do:Lead and develop a team of engineers across multiple locations, promoting a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.Execute strategic objectives focused on modernizing data platforms and driving seamless integration with new markets and data standards.Partner with product, design, and program management to deliver high-quality features aligned with client and business needs.Drive operational excellence, leveraging lean, agile methodologies to improve processes and team performance.Contribute to technical designs and reviews, providing leadership while empowering engineers to deliver scalable, innovative solutions.Oversee projects like transitioning to Snowflake, introducing event-driven architectures, and modernizing CDC processes.Champion best practices in code quality, data security, and compliance with certifications like FedRAMP and SOC2.Communicate technical vision clearly to stakeholders and influence decisions across all organizational levels.
What You’ll Need:3+ years of experience managing engineering teams (10+ engineers).5+ years of technical experience in backend systems, distributed architectures, and cloud-hosted data solutions.Demonstrated success leading large-scale data platform transformations, such as Snowflake migrations, and managing technologies like Kafka, Flink, and Kubernetes.Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, and Program Management).Passion for team development, creating clear career growth paths, and building cohesive, high-performing teams.Experience with tools like Terraform, dbt, and BI platforms, and familiarity with SaaS multi-tenant architectures.A focus on operational efficiency, high availability, and cost management for cloud infrastructure.Flexibility to collaborate with teams across time zones (US + HU).
