Position summary

T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr. Engineers, Software is located in Atlanta, GA will design, implement, and deploy scalable software to meet customer requirements and enhance networking solutions.

• Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Research, design, and develop computer and network software programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.

Lead architecture and design of software components to create applications that leverage various technologies.

Understand system protocols, operations, and data flows.

Develop full software stack, assess current system, and interact with system engineers to define system requirements for automation.

Support engineering projects by developing software solutions, conducting tests and inspections, and preparing reports and calculations.

Improve existing systems, processes, and services, and review procedures to identify areas for efficiency.

Write documentation for new code and systems used and document system design, presentation, and business requirements for engineers.

Skill requirements:

Must have some professional experience in each of the following:

Developing web applications using AngularJS, Angular 4+, Alpine.js, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Creating reusable components using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Managed Services (AMS).

Optimizing application performance using CI/CD, SonarQube, Agile, and Jira.

Building scalable and secure web apis with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, node.js, and REST.

Optimizing web content sharing solutions and containarizing applications using Docker and Kubernetes, and driving API development using Node.js and HapiJs.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or related, and 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s work experience.
