The Senior Enterprise Architect (EA) - Mobile at Nissan Digital Technology Stack (DTS) plays a crucial role in establishing and maintaining architectural patterns, participating in Enterprise Review Board (ERB) meetings, and supporting peers to solve business problems with digital solutions. The EA guides application development teams to build secure, robust, and operationally excellent solutions. This role involves collaboration across various domains, including application development, infrastructure, network, storage, application security, integration, software and product evaluation, and data/analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish Standards and Best Practices: Develop and maintain standards and best practices for the enterprise mobile landscape to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability across all mobile applications.Create Reference Architecture Patterns: Design and update reference architecture patterns to serve as blueprints for mobile solutions, fostering reusability and efficiency in development.Participate in ERB Architecture Review Sessions: Provide valuable feedback and approval for architecture proposals in ERB sessions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and objectives.Audit Compliance: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture standards, identifying areas for improvement and adherence to guidelines and policies.Promote Operational Excellence: Drive the implementation of stable, supportable solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements, promoting operational excellence.Educate and Transfer Knowledge: Conduct information-sharing sessions (e.g., lunch & learn) to educate and transfer knowledge within IS/IT, fostering continuous learning and improvement.Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Keep up to date with current IT trends and developments, evaluating their applicability to Nissan and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.Seek Innovative Solutions: Explore innovative solutions through evaluation and proof of concepts, determining compatibility with current and future architectural standards and business requirements.Align Business Initiatives: Assist in aligning business and enterprise initiatives with Enterprise Architecture, ensuring technology solutions support business objectives and strategies.Partner with Senior IS/IT Leaders: Collaborate with senior IS/IT leaders to develop technology roadmaps and strategies, fostering alignment and collaboration.Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance and review designs of junior architects to ensure alignment with Nissan’s architecture, legal, compliance, and security standards.Serve as a Technology Leader: Leverage knowledge of various technologies and platforms to drive innovation, efficiency, and excellence across Nissan Digital.Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.Minimum 8 years of total IT experience with at least 5 years of current mobile app development experience.Experience with Native app development on iOS and/or Android platforms.Full stack development experience.Minimum 5 years of experience in architecting and building complex systems.Deep understanding of cloud, cloud-native, and serverless technologies.Strong understanding of observability concepts and proven experience in setting up end-to-end observability for complex applications.Proficiency in the latest mobile architecture patterns and best practices, including micro UI, build and test frameworks.Deep understanding of REST APIs, Graph APIs, and Async APIs, with experience in implementing communication protocols such as Web Sockets, g-RPC, WebRTC, and SSEs.Strong knowledge of mobile application security concepts, including authentication, authorization (OIDC, OAuth, FIDO2), RASP, and MAST.Experience troubleshooting performance issues in mobile applications and implementing performance optimization strategies.Ability to multi-task and work with ambiguity.Demonstrates solid persuasion and negotiation skills, effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and exceptional interpersonal and relationship skills.Solid group session facilitation skills, leading productive discussions, eliciting input, and driving consensus.English language fluency is essential.Preferred Skills:
Hybrid app development is a plus.Experience with automotive or related industries.Certifications in mobile application development, security, or related fields.Cloud architecture certifications, preferably AWS.What we offer
