Join us and discover why Modern Healthcare Magazine named us in its “Top 100 Places to Work.” Overview: The purpose of the Senior Equipment Manager position is to manage all aspects of both clinical and non- clinical equipment related to capital projects, in multiple ministry locations. This position provides project management support, coordination and expertise in support of a comprehensive best practice project planning and procurement strategy that optimizes quality, minimizes cost, and integrates Ministry goals and standards related to capital equipment and investments. Qualifications: Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in Capital Equipment planning, budgeting and project management in the Healthcare industry. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree, emphasis in the area of Business Administration or Healthcare Administration or Engineering preferred, or seven (7) years of progressive Healthcare experience in the Project Management, Materials Management, and Capital field. Certifications: Prefer one of the following Certified Clinical Engineer CCE, Bio-medical Engineer Technician BMET, Certified Healthcare Facility Management CHFM, Certified Healthcare Constructor CHC, American Society of Healthcare Engineers AHSE, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional LEED AP, American Institute of Architects AIA, Professional Project Manager PMP or ability to obtain as appropriate. Other: Excellent computer operations and general business skills. Broad equipment planning and project management skills in all Healthcare related fields. An understanding of clinical and management disciplines including anatomy, physiology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, medical terminology proficiency, and broad-based clinical knowledge; quality improvement processes; budgeting; financial analysis; information systems, personal computers, and applications of computers to operations and management. Strong ability to simultaneously manage multiple, complex projects. Ability to work in a team environment with high expectations.6. Excellent negotiation skills.
