Responsibility:
1. Customer interaction:
• Function as technical interface between customer and TE. Establish relationships with key customer engineering contacts and decision makers
• Works intimately with customer on daily bases, often at their site, to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications.
• Provide customer support, consulting services, recommends TE solutions to customers’ requirements
• Coordinate the technical deliverables related to customer projects including new spec-in, modifications to existing products, test studies, etc.
2. Business Development:
• Have strong application knowledge to identify current and future customer needs, Identify & develop new opportunities & applications for incremental business growth
• Penetrate customers’ design cycle to be involved in early stages of new design, model planning
• Generate, prepare, and present TE Proposals (e.g. product selection, design solutions, product specifications, evaluation reports) to customers in conjunction with the TE engineering team
• Provide application support throughout the sales cycle to ensuring high quality and timely execution for final results delivery and business generation
3. NPI pipeline development :
• Identify potential NPI opportunities from customer interactions, with the ability to provide conceptual design and recommendations.
• Collect VOC and specify customer application and specification needs, draft Product Requirement Document (PRD) for new product development
• Coordinates technical communications and activities with customers, ensure aligned development targets and solutions in between TE and customer
• Support product qualifications, ensure product samples, supporting design, and verification activities
• Track development progress, work closely with engineering teams to insure that they are meeting the customers’ needs
• Provide technical marketing support to new product launch and introduction; ensuring high quality content, with effective technical data support.
4. Support existing business
• Support existing applications and products including application evaluation, after-sale technical consulting, etc.
• Develop a full technical introduction of focus products, industries, and applications.
• Drive customer issue resolution. Determine best course of action to solve technical problem, in required timeline
• Manage post-acquisition technical integration of M&A relating to application engineering.
5. Support product roadmap and strategy
• Understand the market and leading customers’ technology, strategic direction, trends and unmeet needs. Summarize and share the findings to PM and Engineering teams for future roadmap
• Defines and maintain a clear customer focus and pipeline aligned to Product Management strategy.
