\n\nWe have an immediate opening for a Building Automation Tech at our Kanata office Reporting directly to the Sr Field Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for responding to, and resolving service calls, providing technical support and solving problems for Honeywell customers located across Eastern Ontario. \n\nAdditional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of small service jobs include time and material work and preventive maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have various products installed that fall into life safety and building automation regarding HVAC controls category as well as their associated computer systems. The goal is to ensure system up-time and efficiency.
\n\nBe the face of Honeywell to the customer and interact directly with end-users, peers, and competitors. Share knowledge of Honeywell solutions to improve efficiencies and team ability. Become a technical specialist for sophisticated Honeywell solutions/product offerings.
\n\nThe ideal candidate will have an Electrical / Electronic diploma or experience with fault finding/repairs of electronic equipment or maintenance of IT systems including hardware and software (server management, network configuration/troubleshooting, etc.).
\n\nThe Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITES:
\n\n\n\tTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues\n\tPerform HVAC automation related installations and maintenance\n\tProvide technical support and service to customers\n\tPerform formal reporting and site documentation\n\tEnsure customer satisfaction through timely and effective resolution of issues\n\tWork with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives\n\n\n\nYOU MUST HAVE:
\n\n\n\tCollege Diploma in electrical or electronics related field\n\tMinimum of 2 years of field experience in electronics or computer programming/administration\n\tValid driver’s License\n\tAbility to acquire Top Secret Federal Government Clearances and CGP clearance\n\tAbility to be part of an on-call rotation\n\n\nWE VALUE:
\n\n\n\tBasic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory\n\tComputer Science or electrical/electronics background\n\tExperience in the HVAC automation/controls\n\tExperience working in a server-based environment\n\tPrevious technical / installation experience\n\tA solid grasp of IT network communications technology\n\tApplication Programming Experience (JAVA, Apache Tomcat, VB Script)\n\tKnowledge and experience working with Domain Services, Microsoft Office and Visio\n\tExtraction and manipulation of reports\n\tUpbeat, inventive, eager to learn, proactive with autonomous problem-solving ability\n\tSuperb communication, interpersonal and organizational skills\n\tPrevious customer service experience\n\tTechnical/professional certificate\n\tAbility to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and diagrams\n\tBilingual in French and English\n\n\nABOUT HONEYWELL
