The Finance Sr Director, Japan Vision is responsible for the financial strategy, forecasting, pricing, performance analysis and business support for the Japan Vision Care and Surgical Vision Commercial organizations. The Vision businesses consists of Contact Lens, Consumer Eye Health, Cataract, Refractive and Dry Eye business segments. These businesses generate approximately $0.7 Billion of annual sales. The position is a key business partner to the Japan Vision Care and Surgical Vision Presidents and will be a member of the Vision Care and Surgical Vision Leadership team as well as global Vision Finance Leadership Team. This role will be based in Japan and reports to the Global CFO for Vision. The Finance Sr Director will support Marketing in defining and implementing pricing, product launch and promotional strategies across the business units to drive market share and optimized profit margin. The leader will drive sales force performance and productivity in partnership with Sales Leadership and Commercial Operations, leveraging incentive programs and promotional activities. He or she will analyze and drive efficiencies in the direct and distributor network as well as contribute to the Business development for third-party product promotion opportunities. He or she will partner with commercial operations for major contracts, tenders and work required to optimize pricing and gross profit. A key responsibility will be to lead the preparation of business plans, forecast updates, in addition to facilitating and driving resource and variable spend investments with Commercial business partners. The Finance Director will be involved in the preparation and presentation of key packages for senior management. Finally, this person will be responsible for ensuring a strong compliant environment through the execution of effective Sox controls and adherence to J&J WWP, J&J Worldwide Procedures and local Vision Japan procedures. The Finance Sr Director will have a responsibility for a team of 8 and will ensure focus on talent management and development of local Vision Finance organization. He or she will work closely with peers across Vision Care and Vision Surgical global service to ensure consistent and effective finance and business processes including shaping and executing to the ESP model. **Qualifications** + A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance. + An MBA, CPA, CMA, and/or other financial certifications is preferred. + A minimum of 15+ years of finance business experience is required. + Candidate must possess strong collaborative, communication, and interpersonal skills. + This position also requires strong technical skills. + The ability to anticipate changing requirements and effectively plan across a large landscape is required. + Individual must work well in a team environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
