The Senior Finance Manager for Business Unit Finance will play a key role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities for the assigned business unit. This position involves working closely with business leaders to drive financial performance, support strategic initiatives, and ensure the effective allocation of resources. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
+ Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the business unit, coordinating with various departments to gather relevant data.
+ Prepare detailed financial models to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives.
+ Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results to budgeted projections, identifying trends and areas of concern.
Reporting and Insights:
+ Develop and deliver accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management.
+ Provide insights on financial performance, key metrics, and operational efficiencies to drive business growth.
Business Partnership:
+ Act as a financial advisor to business unit leaders, providing guidance on financial implications of operational decisions.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost-saving initiatives.
Process Improvement:
+ Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
+ Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
Team Leadership:
+ Mentor and develop junior finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the finance team.
+ Lead and participate in projects and initiatives that support the overall objectives of the finance department and the business unit.
**Qualifications**
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
+ Minimum of [8] years of experience in financial management, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably within a business unit environment.
+ Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
+ Proven track record of providing strategic financial insights and driving decision-making.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software/ERP systems.
+ Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
+ Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
