Position Description

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for general accounting and finance activities for buyside income streams (i.e., MMs VI, Specialty FFS, 3PL title/non-title, Gx MGPSL, etc.).  This position will support fee for service accounting and reporting for multiple business units.  This position will also be managing the accounting, financial analysis and administration of various aspects of supplier agreements.  The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for coordinating/leading McKesson virtual team to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.  Most critical to the success of the Sr. Financial Analyst in the execution of the role are the possession of a unique confluence of skills: Strong Financial analysis experience, a demonstrable ability to utilize critical thinking and problem solving acumen in order to optimize rebuttals to billing disputes, Contract Interpretation, excellent written and verbal communicative abilities (in person/telephony), Financial Reporting experience, experience navigating large matrix organizations, and experience presenting to Senior Executives.

Perform Month-end close responsibilitiesReview & validate accrual calculationPreparation of journal entriesAccount reconciliationsBuild solid relationships with business unit leadership and provide value added servicesDevelop, present, and defend a business case supported by data, logic, and contractual interpretationUse root cause analysis techniques to evaluate and resolve unique dispute parametersDevelop actionable Financial Analytics from raw data (ad hoc and recurring)Perform ad hoc systems and project support activities (i.e., GVI enhancements, etc.)

Minimum Requirements
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Critical Skills

5+ years of accounting, finance, financial analytics or related field experience Contract Interpretation experienceAdvanced Microsoft Excel experience including VLOOKUP/Index(Match), Pivot tables, etc.Experience utilizing root cause analysis techniquesDemonstrated ability to navigate and resolve financial issues for which there is no proscribed processSolid knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP)Income recognition experienceCollaborative and critical thinking skillsProcess Improvement Focus

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent experienceMaster’s Degree is preferred

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$78,400 - $130,600
