Scope of Responsibility:
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance and will serve as a knowledgeable resource for the business as it relates to financial performance, trend and cost analysis, inventory, and accounting/financial improvements. Ideal incumbent will be well versed in various accounting and reporting functions and will possesses the ability to strategically analyze data to provide insight and recommendations to the business.
Essential Duties:
Ensure the timely and accurate completion of various financial reporting activities including: Month end close proceduresGeneral Ledger account analysis and reconciliationsPreparation of journal entriesFreight reconciliation/accrualsSite or department level cost reviewsInventory cost and reconciliationAssist in the development of monthly P&L forecast and annual budgets.Analyze manufacturing cost and generate monthly reports comparing actual to forecast and budgetsProduction and analysis of other financial reports as needed Read, interpret and analyze various financial reports and provide value-added insight and guidance to relevant stakeholders.Prepare ROI on CAPEX projects and provide guidance to operations.Assist in preparation of financial models and key performance indicators.Collaborate with the operations team to identify cost-saving opportunities and promote continuous improvement initiatives.Support annual audit process by providing documentation and answering auditor inquiries. Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department, including training of other employees.Perform any other related duties as required and assigned.

Position Requirements:
3-5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience; preferably in a manufacturing setting utilizing job cost accounting.A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.Requires advanced knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices to include: budgets, general ledger, financial analysis, cost accounting, financial modeling.Strong Microsoft Excel experience with complex spreadsheets required. Experience with Access preferred; not mandatory. Experience with Epicor or BI (Business Intelligence) preferred; not mandatory.Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.Must have strong communication and presentation skills (Powerpoint) – written and verbal.Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to be adaptable and flexible.Must be collaborative and able to work with a diverse group of people and departments.Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in workflow and constantly changing priorities.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with the ability to move throughout the office or outside manufacturing plant as needed.Must be able to perform physical activities that require use of fingers, hands and arms, such as sitting, typing, using office equipment and reaching. Some additional physical activities may require walking, stooping, bending, twisting, and handling of materials.Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and a safety-minded individual.Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
