SR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Essential Function      

 The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions for Cosmoprof Stores, a division of Beauty Systems Group. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights that optimize financial performance, support strategic decision making, and provide analytical feedback to various levels of management.

Primary Duties 

Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for Cosmoprof retail locations. Assists or leads on assigned projects directly involving the analysis of financial reporting through the interpretation of data and acts as a strategic partner to operations and merchandising teams, providing data-driven recommendations. Review high level corporate financial information and use extensive in-depth knowledge of financial statements and business to identify underlying operational risks/opportunities, communicate directly to stores leadership team.  Identify opportunities for financial/ operational improvements among Cosmoprof Stores, develop plan for improvement, and lead initiative.  Ensures the accuracy and reliability of all financial data reported for the corporation and individual operating units.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

Bachelors degree in Finance  or Accounting, from and accredited college or university Knowledge of information systems  5+ years in a financial planning and reporting environment, preferably with a multi-unit retail operation . Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, Power BI, and ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion, or similar) 5+ years Corporate financial close and related accounting experience Ability to analyze and present the results of key financial metrics to executive level Hybrid role, requires two days a week in the office (Tuesday/Wednesday)

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements             

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
