Sr Financial Analyst - Global Logistics

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for preparation and analysis of all financial activities in support of the global logistics function. Work closely with business partners to report results, analyze trends, and provide financial guidance and recommendations to leadership. The individual in this role will be required to manage large data sets and utilize systems to drive robust modeling, analytics, and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare monthly financial reports, review variances and provide insights to management as it pertains to all aspects of logistics supply chain activities including operating expenses, capital investments, freight efficiency, and Business Unit breakdowns to further enhance better decision making.

Collaborate with business partners to prepare annual budget, long range plan and quarterly forecasts.

Provide on-going financial support for special projects and cost saving initiatives including preparation of presentations for the Polaris leadership team.

Proactively work with cross functional team members to identify potential opportunities to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement.

Drive performance through assessing the impact of changing business conditions and influencing executive level managers through analysis.

Become an integral part of the global logistics team, providing leadership and functional expertise wherever needed; solicit feedback and provide closed loop communication system to enhance quality of service.

Perform ad hoc financial analysis and miscellaneous projects as requested by functional or finance leadership.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; CMA and/or MBA preferred.

4 - 6 years of experience in Accounting/Finance required

Extensive experience in various ( advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Microsoft tools required. OneStream / MAPICS / Alteryx / Microsoft Power BI a plus.

Strong track record of analytical, problem-solving, planning and organization skills.

Excellent communication and leadership skills with previous experience working with senior management on a routine basis.

Proven experience relationship-building and influencing cross functional teams in a matrix organization.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Dynamic fast-paced team environment.

Standard office environment with limited travel.  

The salary range for Minnesota is $80,000 to $111,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
