Seeking a Sr Financial Systems Analyst to support and maintain systems used by the US Finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills to problem solve and implement solutions that balance user needs and the appropriates controls/governance. This position requires a hands-on individual that can work independently to drive tasks to completion and be able to pivot as needed based on priorities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Load data into systems and perform necessary checks and reconciliationsSupport Finance team through month-end close and forecasting processesMaintain reporting of multiple hierarchy structuresAssist with data governance and controlsParticipate in projects as needed

Qualifications

Relevant Bachelor's degree3+ years of relevant financial systems experience, including managing hierarchiesPossess an understanding of financial processes, such as month-end close, planning, forecasting, and reportingHyperion/Essbase experienceAdvanced excel skillsReport and data visualization development experience preferredFamiliarity with SQL databases and SQL query language preferredSAP experience a plusHybrid work schedule requires a regular presence at the 120 S LaSalle, Chicago location (in person 3 times per week)

How you'll succeed

Understanding and documenting requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.Solution design - Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.Leading and mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 for the Chicago market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
