Job Description

The production laboratory team is responsible for all technical manufacturing processes within this operation, working in a medical device level laboratory and associated aseptic dispensing area to prepare and supervise production batches.

Position Summary:

You will work within the production laboratory and aseptic dispensing room to produce SensititreTM antimicrobic susceptibility plates. You will ensure H&S and quality standards are met at all times. Ensuring compliance with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice); and ensure our SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are followed!

Responsibilities:

Preparation of antimicrobic solutions in accordance with relevant SOPs and in line with production paperwork - weighing, dissolution and dilutionSet-up and monitoring of production dispensing pumps, to enable on time and quality production output - pouring, priming and weight checksManufacture of various vital ancillary solutions – ID media, buffers and excipientsCompliance checks of laboratory equipment and instrumentation – pipettes, balances and extractorsMaintain and supervise raw material stock levels – consumables, intermediates and equipmentSupport the laboratory by washing and autoclaving equipment – pumps, glassware and other itemsUtilise computer software to process information – SAP ERP, Microsoft Office and tailored programFurther duties and responsibilities as required by the business and within the ability of the post holder.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Ideally educated to A-level standard in a scientific subjectCapable of following standard operating procedures and H&S guidelinesGood collaboration and communication skillsAble prioritise tasks under own initiativeAttention to detail when following procedures and keeping manual recordsAbility to perform complex manual tasks with dexterityDigital literacy would be beneficialLaboratory experience is an advantageExposure to a fast-paced high efficiency manufacturing type environment would be valuable.
