No Duties and Responsibilities PRE-AWARD:
- Oversees preparation and submission of all grant proposals.
- Enters all budgetary and grant application information into the Research Channel.
- Obtains institutional endorsement on all grant applications.
- Prepares files in proper format for electronic submission.
- Copies, collates and mails applications to appropriate agencies for review.

POST-AWARD:
- Oversees the disbursement, financial reporting and use for all intramural and extramural funds associated with accounting units established in the Department.
- Prepares budget breakdown and distribution of funds in the post-award section of the Research Channel.
- Initiates and monitors subcontract agreements for collaborations with other Institutions.
- Initiates all budget transfers, expense transfers, and salary transfers in accordance with institutional policies and OMB Circular guidelines.
- Prepares and submits additional reports for all non-competitive (progress reports) and competitive renewal applications.
- Prepares and approves check requisitions, travel expense reports and purchase requisitions for grant-related expenses.
- Monitors and approves grant expenditures in the Account Activity System on a monthly basis.

- Provides Principal Investigators with monthly projection reports.
- Provides Department Chair with summary reports.
- Enters and approvals orders using Lawson program. Process capital budget requests.
- Uses University pro-card for appropriate lab purchases.
- Performs related duties as required. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and two to four years of experience with federal and non-federal grant management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Qualifications - Ability to follow oral and written instructions and established procedures.
- Ability to perform basic filing, office procedures and word processing.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to communicate verbally.
- Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to compose letters and memorandums.
- Ability to function independently and manage own time and work tasks.
- Ability to work on routine job with interpersonal contact skill.
- Ability to interact with internal and external constituents.
