Sr HR M&A Manager

Working with the global HR M&A leader, senior HR Business Partners and International HR, you will be tasked to lead and project manage all aspects of HR M&A, including due diligence, organization planning, retention strategy, key employee negotiations, integration planning, employee onboarding/offboarding and employee communications. During periods with limited or no M&A activity, you will partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), HRBPs and HR leadership providing project management, strategic support and process improvement support in matters related to HR operations.
Responsibilities:
+ Project manage and ensure HR due diligence from project kick-off to integration, potentially managing multiple concurrent transactions.
+ Develop and maintain scalable HR focused M&A processes, identify lessons learned and ensure continuous process improvement.
+ Develop project plans, track progress and partner with stakeholders within and outside HR to ensure deadlines are met.
+ Identify, track and monitor HR related risks on each project
+ Drive the M&A process by identifying and leading cross-functional teams.
+ Provide change management leadership by partnering with Cadence’s business unit and HR stakeholders to ensure organizational effectiveness, cohesion, and assimilation.
+ Lead HR related M&A communications and engage key stakeholders and leadership throughout the M&A process.
To be successful in this role, you will blend strong project management skills with a deep understanding of HR focused M&A strategy. You must have a sense of urgency and be deadline driven, while maintaining strong internal relationships and supporting our “One Cadence Team” culture. You are someone who builds teams and communicates effectively across cultures.
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of related work experience in corporate HR or HR Consulting
+ Deep understanding of core HR disciplines, including employee relations, compensation & benefits, and organizational development.
+ 5+ years of M&A project management experience including due diligence and integration planning.
+ Strong relationship skills, comfortable working in an environment with tight deadlines and imperfect information
+ Advanced program management skills and a demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams and external advisers
+ Ability to absorb, analyze and process large quantities of disparate information and synthesize quickly with attention to detail. Advanced excel skills.
+ Strong business acumen and the ability to understand dependencies in the computational software and semiconductor industries.
+ Experience working virtually and internationally
+ Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively present to executive audiences.
Ideally this position will be based in San Jose, California, but other locations or remote work will be considered.
The annual salary range for California is $144,200 to $267,800. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
