Sr HSE Engineer - Industrial Hygiene

ABOUT THE ROLE

\n

As a  Senior Industrial Hygiene Engineer  here at Honeywell Aerospace (AERO) in  Clearwater, FL,  you will be accountable for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, comply with regulatory requirements, and promote a culture of safety and well-being.

You will report directly to our HSE Director and work out of our  Clearwater, FL plant  in person. 

\n

In this role, you will have a direct impact on the health and safety of our employees by assessing workplace hazards, developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and audits, and providing training and education on health and safety best practices.

\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\nDevelop and implement comprehensive industrial hygiene strategies to identify and mitigate workplace hazards\nConduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards\nProvide training and education on health and safety best practices to employees and management\nWork with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety programs and initiatives\nInvestigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions\nStay updated on industry trends and best practices in industrial hygiene\nOther duties as assigned  \n\n

U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT  
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE\n\n5+ years of experience in industrial hygiene or occupational health and safety\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nWE VALUE\n\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field\nCertified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation\nStrong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices\nExcellent communication and people-oriented skills\nExperience in a manufacturing environment\nFamiliarity with Lean Six Sigma principles\nStrong problem-solving and thoughtful skills\n\nBENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL\n
