**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Senior HR Manager works closely and supports the Director of HR in the creation and implementation of the HR strategy. The incumbent will lead the collaboration of the HR Team on various initiatives related to the HR function. The incumbent is a business partner to the SVP, GM’s and line managers by identifying key HR issues along with action plans to support the business objectives. Implements and oversees execution of policies and programs encompassing all areas of human resources including employment, compensation and benefits as well as organizational and employee development.
**WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH**
+ Ensures Environmental and Health Safety standards are met by providing the necessary resources to promote and support Company programs, policies and practices; ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained; conducting workplace inspections, incident investigation, safe work training; providing supporting documentation and reporting, as required. Acts a business partner and partners with the management team to understand the business from an operational perspective.
+ Responsible for the implementation of programs to support business groups and strategic HR initiatives.
+ Responsible for the management and resolution of employee/labor relations issues, providing employee relations counselling and problem solving to ensure a productive work environment.
+ Coaches, advises and trains management on resolving performance-related issues including performance improvement plans, terminations, conflict resolution, etc.
+ Reviews and interprets employment laws and regulations to avoid liability and risks.
+ Facilitates grievance administration, contract interpretation and contract negotiations.
+ Responsible for talent management and organization effectiveness.
+ Responsible for organizational assessment and upgrading talent through strategic staffing.
+ Responsible for identifying and developing training materials and conducts training sessions to meet needs for new hires, management, etc.
+ Develops staffing plans for direct reports and establishes work plans/schedules for projects.
+ Leads or participates in large projects or business activities including acquisition/merger integration/facility closure.
+ Works with HR or cross-functional teams to address business opportunities or challenges.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
**Education:** Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience
**Additional Education Preferred:** Master's degree
**Field of Study Preferred:** Human Resources
**Required Work Experience:** 10-15 years of HR experience; Manufacturing/Construction or related industry experience preferred
**Required Computer and Software Skills:** Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP (preferred)
**Travel Requirements:** 10%
**Additional Requirements:**
+ Solid technical human resource expertise (compensation, benefits, organization development, employee / labor relations, talent development) to support and educate clients.
+ Demonstrated knowledge/experience with local, state and federal employment laws and other government compliance regulations.
+ Ability to be responsive and persuasive at all levels of the organization.
+ Effective communication and analytical skills.
+ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects/priorities.
+ Strong customer focus and sense of urgency to business needs.
+ Experience developing and implementing human resources strategies/objectives.
+ Ability to coach employees and management through complex issues and make recommendations.
+ Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of company approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
