Sr IP Sales Executive

You will be responsible for building, developing and driving a sales pipeline for our processor IP technology in key accounts across the Silicon Valley.

Responsibilities include developing and managing a sales pipeline while driving market penetration, adoption and revenue. You will work closely with and manage multi-functional teams including Application Engineers, Business Unit Marketing, Legal, Finance, Cadence executives and the Cadence EDA software sales team to achieve sales targets in the region. 

You will possess a proven track record of selling semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP) technology to organizations spanning small startups to large enterprises. You should have a solid understanding of processor technology (including DSPs), as well as grasp the hardware and software issues related to the positioning of the Cadence processor technology to a wide array of Applications and Markets.  You should also have strong strategic selling experience and success delivering large ($1M+) license deals. 

Role Requirements:

Generate, develop, qualify, and drive new business opportunities in the region, including:Pipeline developmentOpportunity managementManage contract negotiations (business and legal) with customers and Cadence functional teamsMeeting or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targetsArticulate key value propositions for the adoption of the unique Processor Technology with key semiconductor companies, across the organization (executive management, marketing, architects, hardware and software engineers)Manage technical and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies for proliferation of the technology in the regionProvide market and account feedback to the Tensilica Business Unit to drive product roadmaps and strategies.Track activities and provide reports to management, BU and executive personnel on account strategies activities and progressDevelop and execute against strategic sales plansMaintain regular contact with the Cadence EDA SW team to drive enterprise wide strategic activitiesHands on, self-starter who can demonstrate intuitive and creativity to drive complex strategic deals

Key Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years in licensing of Semiconductor IP technology, processors & DSPs preferredBSEE or equivalent (MBA a plus)Strong background in technology, with broad-based comprehension of processor hardware and software issuesUnderstanding of key markets (AI/Audio/Wireless/Storage/Data Center/Consumer) and application specific requirements for these markets is a plusExperience working with small start-ups and large enterprise accounts driving complex, differentiated technologyPassion to develop and apply strategic selling skillsWe’re doing work that matters.
