Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Lease Accountant for a contract-to-hire position. This role involves developing and maintaining compliance with global capital asset and lease accounting policies. The position is hybrid, with in-office work required from Monday to Wednesday and remote work on Thursday and Friday.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and ensure compliance with global capital asset and lease accounting policies for accurate recording and valuation.Assist with global lease accounting policies and processes, including development and oversight of centralized or shared services.Provide periodic management reporting and analysis over global fixed and leased assets.Coordinate with global locations for information and analysis compilation.Assist with asset accounting and reporting from approval to disposal for North America entities.Analyze project plans for capitalization and monitor capitalized costs for projects.Monitor, assess, and record asset impairment, engaging with Finance and Accounting leadership as needed.Develop and maintain processes for approval and coding of fixed asset purchases and payments.Prepare month-end close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses.Support financial reporting processes for internal and external purposes.Interface with compliance and internal/external auditors for Sarbanes-Oxley and audit matters.Essential Skills3-5 years of operational accounting experience under GAAP.Proficiency in journal entries and reconciliations.Understanding of fixed assets and capital assets.Experience with accounting ERP systems, SAP preferred.Experience working within large organizations with multiple sites.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Willingness to occasionally work outside standard hours.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.Direct lease accounting experience with ASC 842 and IFRS 16.Experience with Prolease lease accounting software.Retail industry experience.Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence from Monday to Wednesday, with remote work on Thursday and Friday. The position may occasionally require working outside standard hours to collaborate with the team in India. The work environment is dynamic and involves collaborating with various departments and stakeholders.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
