Sr Logistics Manager

The Senior Logistics Manager has overall responsibility for planning and logistics of beverage products that comply with quality standards and meet customer demand in a safe working environment while producing over forty-five million cases per year. This Sr Manager is responsible for developing and supporting 5 Operations Managers and a total of 300 employees across 5 locations in Production combined facilities.

Location: This person must be based at one of the following locations: Northlake, IL, Holland, MI, Columbus, OH, or Louisville, KY

Travel: Depending on your home base you will be traveling up to 80% of the time.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead through RCI (Rapid Continuous Improvement) methods – Implementing and utilizing visual management, A3 processes, and lean manufacturing concepts.Create and implement improvement plans for the overall operation.Committed to team based problem solving within operations and capable of fostering individual development across the team.Incorporate and ensure safety programs are adhered to, promote good daily safety practices and habits.People development to include; training, coaching and insuring positive employee relations. Build robust talent pool through active development of direct reports and other leaders in the organization.Manage financial aspects of the operation area including annual budget development, capital planning and administration.Maintain product and material availability within predetermined safety stock policy elements established by central planning. Manage lot sizes/cycle times consistent with Supply Chain corporate guidelinesAnalyze short/mid-range forecasts vs. capacities to identify and prevent service problems, inventory overstocks, plant inefficiencies and purchasing up charges. Lead at plant the implementation and execution for new product development planning.Perform other duties as assigned.
