Program Summary

Job Summary

KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join the Next-Generation Air-Refueling System (NGAS)/Future Tankers Program Office. The ideal candidate will serve as a SME in acquisition management and logistics, providing critical support to the development and implementation of advanced air-refueling systems. 

Roles and Responsibilities

Application of logistics knowledge to perform various tasks related to planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive, affordable, and effective system support strategyProvide expertise in conducting technical evaluations of the business rules inherent in AF logistics information systems and in the development of functional requirementsReview program documentation (e.g. concept, requirements, design, manuals, reports, deficiency/change reports and program schedules) to ensure that established security requirements are adequately addressed and sustainedUtilize knowledge of USAF supply chain processes, governing policies, manuals, and instructions for implementation for program milestonesAbility to work independently as well as with other team membersPerform document review and editing, as requestedParticipate in integrated logistics support management team meetings PMRs and other  related meetings

Basic Qualifications

BS / BA and 15 years of directly related experience. Knowledge of creating and maintaining policy to support logistics readiness and SCM for units across the Air Force highly desired. In-depth knowledge of DoD acquisition policies, procedures, and regulationsProven track record of managing complex acquisition programsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentActive Top Secret

Preferred Qualifications

20 years of SCM experience desiredExperience with air-refueling systems or related aerospace programsProject Management Professional (PMP) certificationExperience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other program management toolsExperience in writing and responding to Federal and DoD Requests for Proposals (RFPs)Program Management Level II or III DAWIA certificationKnowledge of DoD 5000.02 and AFLCMC Policies, Processes, and Procedures
