The Team & Role

The Product Education team is a highly critical group within Zuora, responsible for delivering implementation-focused product training to our customers, partners, and employees. Our team is collaborative, passionate about learning, and open to giving and receiving feedback. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, engaging courses to our Zuora University students.

As the Product Education Senior Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of course development by leading a team of Instructional and Visual Designers. You will be responsible for ensuring the team follows sound principals of scoping, planning, design and development of courses and they work cross-functionally with Zuora’s Global Services, Alliances, and development teams.

 

Our Tech Stack: Java, Spring, Rest API, Microservices, Kafka, Spark, NodeJS, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, AngularJS 

 

What you’ll do

Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of Instructional Designers and Visual Designers. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages continuous learning and professional development. Conduct regular performance assessments, provide feedback, and implement strategies for improvement. Course Development Strategy: Ensure courses are well scoped and delivered on time and with high quality. Implement a course development strategy aligned with the company’s goals and values. Drive initiatives to enhance student learning, satisfaction, loyalty, and overall experience. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate feedback into course improvements. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and refine course creation processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and industry standards to optimize course development. Produce high-quality methodology documentation. Analyze metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and resource optimization.

 

Your experience

Minimum of 5 years Instructional Design or Visual Design experience. Minimum of 7 years in a managerial or leadership capacity. Experience in project management. PMP/ITSM or an equivalent certification will be nice-to have though not mandatory. Ability to work with a globally distributed team and build strong cross-functional relationships. Positive attitude and the ability to overcome adversity; ability to stay calm under pressure. Strong understanding of SaaS products and the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience implementing and optimizing course development processes. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Experience using Learning Management System (LMS), Gantt charts, Storyboard tools. Organized, self-directed, efficient and able to manage multiple complex projects in a timely manner. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. Strong desire and ability to continually learn new skills, processes and technologies.
