Are you a driving force for cross-functional collaboration? As a sPDTL (Sustaining Product Development Team Leader) for DRAM, you lead Micron’s most profitable, multi-billion-dollar technologies to high volume market and manufacturing success! As sPDTL you are the technical owner and leader of these technologies and you also lead the cross functional interfaces with partner teams like the business units, quality, test, supply chain, etc to strengthen DRAM health, manufacturability, and customer satisfaction.
sPDTL will drive and direct a matrixed team as a PDT leader with clear ownership and accountability:
Own DRAM through the sustaining transfer from development, into maturityDeliver on schedule & execution, lead cross-functional engineering teams, and foster collaborationConnect the relevant global teams in Taiwan, US, and Japan for effective, efficient working modelsApply direct decision making in leading product development and resolving issuesLead cross functional interfaces with partner teams like the business units, quality, test, supply chain, etc Define and drive solutions and strategies to mitigate risk in the sustaining phase, with feed-forward to the development phaseLead change initiatives to address lessons learned and improve the team. Support change initiatives to improve working models and partnershipsProvide clear, regular communication of engineering priorities, challenges, and status across the broader organization and network, including leadership and business organizationsThis is a highly impactful role with excellent scope and visibility! You will lead Critical Program Reviews to discuss program status and direction with executives, and to ratify key decisionsQualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 8+ years of experience in Product, Design, Yield Enhancement or related engineering, management/leadership.Direct working experience in DRAM memory or NAND Flash, system/customer experience a plusDemonstrated capability to lead urgent, broad, cross-functional technical issues to closure with creative, effective solutionsDirect or Matrix Management experience leading a distributed teamOutstanding organizational skills, and the ability to make decisions for sophisticated solutionsNurture team member development through mentorship and coachingDemonstrate top-tier interpersonal skills and communication skills, for leadership of program review and issue-based meetings with engineering and business unit executivesAbility to delegate tasks and set priorities in a team environmentAbout Micron Technology, Inc.
