Summarized Purpose:
Manages the facility operations of multiple sites including site services, building or equipment maintenance, space planning, and/or engineering projects. Implements policies, standards, services and programs, ensuring a high level of service, quality, timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
Essential Functions:
Manages the facility construction and/or remodeling process, and oversees the placement and administration of all outside contracts for space planning, architectural, engineering and construction services when assigned.Oversees facility services for all assigned properties.Oversees operating services including those related to maintenance, janitorial, security, and vehicles.Generates purchase requisitions for furniture purchases and all other capital expenditures for assigned locations. Maintains monthly and yearly records of expenditures.Prepares funding requests for assigned facility projects and maintains budgets, cost records, status, and schedules for these projects. Assists other facility managers in CAR preparation and serves as their interface with management.Assists in the coordination, scheduling, budgeting and completion of long-range facility planning, real estate acquisition, and disposal for assigned locations.Oversees office administration services including furniture/ equipment needs, office services, shipping and receiving and office reception.Directs the implementation of security programs and systemsEducation and Experience:
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years). 3+ years of management responsibility
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of building infrastructure such as HVAC and electrical systems Effective computer skillsWorking knowledge of construction process and code requirementsBasic knowledge of furniture design and space planning techniquesBudgeting and general accounting skills.Working knowledge of cost accounting, project cost management and budgetingEffective time management and project management skillsDemonstrated written and oral communication skills
